February 15, 200818 yr Hello, I'm a new member here and I'm completely new to web design (html, css, javascript, etc). Does anybody here know what is the best way to start learning web design. Is there any good video tutorials around anywhere?
February 15, 200818 yr Welcome to the forum! Why not head over to our newbie section and introduce yourself properly? The best way is to READ. Read everything you can. Try http://stumbleupon.com - it can take you through sites about web design, or anything you'd like really. http://w3schools.com is a good place to start with your basic code. It'd be good to get a solid understanding of HTML / CSS to begin with. Because once you pick up bad habits (like relying on WYSIWYG 'what you see is what you get' code editors) it can be very hard to shift them. Reading web design related blogs will also give you an idea of what's involved with webdesign. (I have a category on my own blog called 'design' which you might like. *shameless promo*) Good luck!
February 15, 200818 yr Author thanks for the reply, i'll try the advise you gave me and go from there.
