Needed to make some animated images for a client. Have made them, but they develop a jagged border with a white outline when saved. No idea how to fix it.

 

 

Any help would be great.

Increase the pallete (or reduce compression) when saving as a gif, or is it possible to use an alternate format?

What other formats can you use for an animation ?

Increased the number of colours to the max of 256, and looks much better. But the edges are still jagged. No real colour outline anymore though.

 

go back to your master document where the curves were smooth and same them with a higher colour palette, I assume you are using gif file format.

You need to feather the edges, the image uses a limited pallete anyway, 256 is more than sufficient. When you save as a .gif it won't automatically feather the edges, it'll just do a clean cut on the vector lines. Hence the jagged lines.

 

Maybe theirs an antialiasing option.
