Hi, this is my sixth attempt at my portfolio site, I think it is gettin there but am a bit wary that a may look a bit studenty, or worse case scenario looks dated

My main aim is applying for jobs but am also doing a bit of work for clients on my now after now bein made redundant last week.

Anyway, I'd really appreciate a review of my portfolio, well photoshop mockup at the mo,

- How do I come across

- What kind of person do you think i am goin by my site

- Would a company take me seriously as a designer

- What age do I come across as

Well, I am a student so my opinion may be biased toward certain genres - but I love it.

- Someone with an obvious passion for graphical design, who can practice what they preach.

- Reserved, but will openly chat about things you're interested in.

- I can't comment, not enough experience I'm afraid. Smart and friendly.

- I'd guess at somewhere between 25-35.

I'd be interested at how accurate my guesses are!

Hi, cheers for your feedback, I really appreciate it. I have redone this so many times as I dont know how I want to project myself, I do want to be seen to be creative but to be taken seriously and have been inspired by certain elements in some other portfolios I've seen.

I hope I havent caused any offence when I say studenty, its just I haven't been a student for quite a long time but never get the opportunity to do anything a bit more creative.

This means a lot to me as Im not a graphic designer, studied product design, ended up doin web design

Reserved, but will openly chat about things you're interested in.

Im not shown myself as too stuffy which is good

smart and friendly is good, I want ot be seen as approachable and a show a bit of me

I'd guess at somewhere between 25-35.

You're nearly right Im the wrong end of 35, Im 36, Im concerned it may look to young for me and have to go more minimalist and have a very clean, simple feel to it.

Cheers again andy for your comments

"Smart and friendly" was supposed to be on the 'what type of person am I' line - must have mis-clicked!

No offence taken at all, just thought I'd inform you that my opinion may reflect that of an audience you're not really bothered about!

It looks good but the main problem for me is that I have seen that background a bagizillion times, and in fact it seems I have seen that website just as many times.

I like to see people taking a bit of a risk on their portfolio site, as its the only place you're allowed to, and the only way you're going to get noticed! But, like I say, it looks nice :)

- Would a company take me seriously as a designer

depends on the whole site (and the company of course), wording of your content and especially your portfolio of work. The design is good but I would want to be confident you can A. design to a brief B. handle whatever is asked of you and most importantly C. deliver on time.

Good job, Angie.

One little advice: remove this pseudo handwritten font from the footer.
