How does he do it ?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

First I want to apologise if this is the wrong place for my topic.

What I want to know is, how does Chris Coyier deal with his videos on his great site CSS-Tricks ?

I mean one can clearly deduce that the videos are not uploaded to YouTube then from there embedded onto his site !! (which by the way is the method I am familiar with). I want to know how Chris deals with his videos. Plus his videos look much clearer than those of YouTube.

I would greatly appreciate any help and advice.

Thank You.

Thanks AndyL

I think you misunderstood. I did not mean how he recorded his videos .. I know there are many Screen Recording software out there.

What I am interested in is:

After Recording and Editing ? Does he then upload the whole movie to his Host ? and link to the movie that way ?

Cause that would take huge amounts of the space available from the host !

I hope that is more clear.

PS. Are you sure iShowU is the program that he is using ?

Thank You.

Most likely, but I'm sure he'll have an unlimited space hosting account. Hosts offering 'unlimited space' are dead cheap in the states and genuinely do exist. Generally the 'unlimited space' does not allow for archives to prevent someone setting up a site like Imageshack for example.

No I'm not sure, never heard/visited his site before - but if not, it's an identical application. iShowU is just as good - I love it.
