I'm really despair that there's hardly anybody signing up at my website.

 

Can say virtually Nil.

 

I hope someone out there can suggest me how to improve the sign up rates. I have already signed up for Yahoo Search Marketing but it seems it is not helping. Just wasting my money...

I think the foremost thing that you need to do is content marketing. Give good and useful content to your readers. Promote the content to as many sites as you can..This way, it would serve two purposes, one your readers will get benefited from the useful information and second, interested readers will definitely do sign ups. Don't forget to target the keywords and link your website to them..

Yes, I just mentioned a way to start with marketing of your website. There are innumerable ways to market like best one social networking sites. Be active on those. You can do this at personal level. Have you submitted your website in Directories, if not kindly submit. Do extensive marketing, you can go for banner advertisements, PPC depending upon the budget. You can write articles and syndicate. This activity will generate number of backlinks for your website.

To my horror and despair, I just found out that there are like thousands of people doing online tuition agency in Singapore, not counting those established brick and mortar which also have their own tuition sites.....

 

I'm just starting out so I find it especially an uphill task to attract people from signing up....

Would you care to elaborate about banner advertisement ? I mean right now I don't have much traffic so don't think people want to put a banner there.....

 

As for directories...yeah..just pick up a book on SEO Warrior by John I. Jerkovic...and will be trying out some of the suggestions there.....

I reckon one of your problems is the design, it looks quite bad imo, esp. for a company selling services. The site doesn't shout out any credability at all for me. Sorry.

 

Rallport is 100% right - the design screams out 'a guy in his bedroom with MS Paint and Front Page' - if you really want your business to succeed, you need to invest in it.

 

Get a new and cool looking site, pay some good money for it as well. If you believe in your business then it wont be a problem for you
