Anyone using Web CEO?

 

 

I have been playing around with the free version for a few days, seems pretty good. I especially like the Keyword "Get suggestions" which tells you the approx. monthly searches, competition and KEI.

 

Anyone else used it or another piece of software that they'd like to recommend?

I've been using it for about 3 years.

 

It's actually quite a useful tool if you use it right, and don't take it's suggestions as gospel.

Thanks for the reply Scott. I'm quite impressed, the on-screen reports don't look that fancy, but its the figures that matter.

Have you got a paid version or the free version? I'm wondering what the email reports look like...

Free version mate. Don't see the point in paying out, when the free version gives me the info I need.

 

The email reports are basic, but quite informative, showing things like DNS look-up times, download times, any problems encountered etc, and comparing them to the previous week, which makes it easier to determine if you're doing something right (or wrong!)

 

For a free product, it's well worth using.

I have used web CEO , it is good tool . I am using some SEO tools from http://www.link-assistant.com . They produce good result and reporting is very good

Nope. Basic reports come with the free version. It's only if you want to customise them etc that you need a paid version

That's odd, cos I get weekly reports from the sites I used it on lol.

 

Maybe they've changed the feature set with the latest version :/

Web CEO is good but I found www.link-assistant.com far better and wit a lot more tools available. They also do a free download, SEO spyglass is excellent.

Totally agree. Use Rank Tracker every day and SEO Spyglass almost every day. The complete package (SEO Powersuite) is a little pricy if you also take the update fees into consideration. But in my view definitely worth it!

 

Customer support is pretty good too.

I'm not a fan of link-assistant to be honest. Being a linux user, the package is far from polished, doesn't work properly etc - If you're gonna release a program for linux, make sure it works. That in itself has put me off the program suite for life.

Thanks for the info guys.  Been trying out link assistant this morning and I quite like it.  Seems a bit easier to get your head around it and its possibly quicker at getting the data too.  Anyone know if you can set up a regular report by email?
