A portfolio web site really is the only way to do it, ir will generate you business as well as being useful for job interviews (should you choose). It can also be used to test out any new skills you may be developing.

TylerCollins gave you a best answer to your question. But still I will recommend to putting your own design (Portfolio) online on design related websites
