March 28, 201016 yr Hey All, I've spent the past two months developing a new website for the stduent radio station at my uni. I've built it from the ground up with a large, custom CMS. Please take a look and let me know what you think! http://www.radiosonar.co.uk/ I know there is the odd layout issue when using a Mac - will have this sorted next week when I get access to one!
March 28, 201016 yr I think that its just a little bit too complicated and confusing. Ease off with the blue as its a little bit headachey and give the site more space to breathe by making the whole thing wider - probably by taking out a column or something. You have to remember to put in lots of white space etc. Also the background with the black dots stuff makes the logo look fuzzy and very headachey! Take a look at other radio station sites like this one for inspiration. On a brighter note, I do like the majority of it and, even though what I've written has been mostly things to improve, they are mostly small tweaks and it could look pretty nice!
March 29, 201016 yr try white or soft light blue for the box backgrounds and if you don't want to make it wider use a little more horizontal padding you need this "Southampton Solent University" or something like it in your header or somewhere so people can see where it's from I'm listening to the station at the moment and it streams pretty well even in finland! nice logo your alt text should be a replacement/description of the image, so it should contain the text from the image. nicely done overall
