I am looking to get qualified/trained in website design, and was wondering if anyone would know some good training courses to get started. I have experience in websites in the form of using front page, and also do some SEO work, so am not a complete beginner!! thanks for reading this, and really hope to hear from some of you soon. March 19, 201016 yr Hey mate, I would say that the internet and google will be your best friend, do a google search for the tutorials you want such as xhtml/css and you will find everything you need.

March 20, 201016 yr Hi Oliver I'm currently learning web design and i the best tutorials/resources i found were the htmldog tutorials, W3schools tutorials & Wickhams tutorials. Also I am pretty much looking and asking questions on here every day at the moment where the members willingness to help is amazing!!
March 20, 201016 yr Hello Oliver! I would also say choose tutorials and us :-) rather than courses to learn from. They just take your money and there will you realize you could have learnt all of that on your own. I did once: it was 900 thrown out of the window.Now I have a certificate hangin on the wall I can wipe my *ss with. Never again...

March 22, 201016 yr Hi. I am a complete newbie to web design, but yesterday found a site which taught me tha basics of html coding in a couple of hours as the explanation is brilliant. March 22, 201016 yr As useful as the link above may be, I would myself use a different tutorial site and learn xhtml. That tutorial site is the very basics and some of it isn't even used anymore, would be interesting to know whether the code provided would validate. Just my opinion though, and no offense meant to anyone.

Just my opinion though, and no offense meant to anyone. I will look for some xhtml tutorials myself. I had no idea that there was a difference. ( Complete noob). No offense taken at all mate. Im just scratching around for a good place to begin learning, and do not want to learn an out of date system. Any pointers I can gather are gratefully recieved. Thanks.
