Uploading and sending images

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I want a page where visitors may send me pictures so that I may then upload onto the website. I want to make it user friendly so I don't just want to put my email out.

I was thinking of having a browse button so they can upload their image which then gets sent to my email. Whats the easiest way to do that?

Cheers

Make an upload form like you said, with a browse button, get the path of the uploaded image and just email yourself the link of the image?

Tidiest solution would probably be to use a CMS for this as it will limit size of uploads.

He can limit the size of uploads with a simple form... no need to add in a CMS if it's not required.

Do you guys know of any tutorials that will help me create the upload form? I can't seem to find one.

Just an update.

Found 2 plugins that help for this situation in wordpress. Plugin: "Contact Form 7" creates contact form which lets the visitor add attachments and then a plugin called "really simply captcha" which helps against spammers!
