February 3, 201016 yr I'm trying to put some examples together to apply for a job So any feedback on these would be great tia
February 3, 201016 yr Hi, Left image: Looks great, but the shadow under menu is out of tune with overall style. I think it would be better to render this menu simply as plain brush stroke or scrap of paper. Right image: I like this herbal text.
February 3, 201016 yr The design on the right is really really nice. I'd deffo go with that layout. Would question styling the navs as images though (how else could you use that font) because of seo. But visually it's really nice. You going to use the blue background/cityscape image as a whole background image? That would look fantastic. I'm not too excited about the left hand image though to be honest but maybe you're thinking I've got to show them dull stuff too. If that is the case why not go for something much corporate in style - sort of typical business layout. The contrast between 2 distinct styles would make a good point about the range of your design skills. Good luck! Jo

February 3, 201016 yr That is more corporate looking and a bit conservative. I guess the important thing is to know who you're talking to. Try and get some sense of what they like.
