Hi all,

Well, I have a design for my site. It's pretty enough, but just annoys me - too much of one colour. Any attempts to introduce other colours don't seem to work. Any ideas on this or any other aspects of the design?

Thanks in advance!

I think your image at the top needs to be changed, or at least the choice of font / your logo.

Also is everything is very bunched together, try dividing and spacing out articles. The main problem is where your google ad's are, they would work much better on the side rather than between articles.

For ideas on your orange color http://kuler.adobe.com/ might help you find colors in that color scheme.

They may look nuch better from a design point of view but in cold practical financial terms studies show that ads are more likely to be noticed and be clicked on if placed within the main site content, as on this site. Otherwise visitors use their well developed banner blindness and don't read the ads.

Messes up a clean site but you can't have everything.

I like the header/logo font a lot...i like the background image, i like your raspberries, I like it all - what's the problem?

Well, thanks all - but I've redesigned my website now anyway. So that's done, now time for a new post asking for opinions on the new one!
