January 21, 201016 yr Hello everyone, I just thought id start a topic for all the ps3 gamers on wdf and perhaps we could all get together online sometime (when were not designing of course ). Im a pretty heavy gamer myself, ive owned a ps3 since lauch date (Europe launch date) and i just love my black box . I used to be a pretty big warhawk player, call it sad but i became part of a clan and played in gamebattles, we were even number one on the ladder at some point LOL. Now though im becoming more of a casual player, currently playing the odd bit of modern warfare 2 and a brilliant game IL2 Strumovik: Birds of prey (seriously if you see that game buy it, its truly amazing). Anyway the point of this topic is really to see who's a gamer and who has a ps3 on wdf, so if your a ps3 gamer why not post and let us know what you play. Perhaps once we get a list together we could have a few games online, hah we could even form a WDF clan for a laugh .
January 21, 201016 yr I have a PS3 Slim now had to buy a new one because the blue laser went on the old one , Sony wanted £100 to return also wait up to 30 days for them to send me a new one with no extended warranty so I thought Id get the new PS3 Slim with Modern Warfare 2. I got quite a sweet set-up now , just spent 2-3 days moving my desk round and furniture to get the ultimate gaming experience , everything is hooked up to my 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound and everything is connected into my 32" HD TV so gaming and watching films on my giant bean chair is awesome. To be honest its really distracting trying to focus on coding or doing some design in Photoshop when you know you can be killing people in HD or trying to get Chopper Gunner. I just also set-up Wireless Media Server which is sweet as I can now watch my Movie collection without even getting off the sofa. Just some of my games include COD MW2 , MGS4 , FIFA09 , GTA 4 and a few others but that's about it.

Those lasers are a pain for breaking, sames happened to my sisters ps3 yet my 60GB version hasnt had any problems at all which im quite pleased about considering its meant to be the worst one for faults. You could always try fixing it yourself, im gonna pick up a new laser off ebay and give it a go. I know what you mean about the ps3 being a distraction though, i had to move my 40" hd tv in the other room to stop me playing the thing so much. If you dont mind my asking what you using for the media server ? Im currently using tversity but streaming hd over wireless isnt giving me good results. Might get a few new games soon though... what can you suggest? You could always give Il2 Sturmovik: Birds of prey a go , great WW2 flight sim. Honestly its the best game ive played in years just make sure you play in realistic mode and not arcade. The only problem with it though is the lack of players, i dont know what it is but no one seems to have this game yet it beats MW2 any day. Some great games on the way for release in March - Final fantasy 13, Bad company 2. Those two are definately worth waiting for.
January 21, 201016 yr I am too. PS3 FTW! Mines the 'standard' PS3, scream type skin, 320gb hard drive and a funky stand with a blue light I play all kinds of games but my favourites are Assassins Creed II, MW2, Battlefield 1943, Warhawk, Fat Princess, Tekken and GTA. Mines also used as a media centre. Connected to my Sony surround sound set up with media sharing using WMP11 and Tversity.

Despite a horrible 2010 version of PES i have faith we will be back on top next year. My TV is blown up right now but when I get a new one i'm planning for some heavy duty guitar hero. Anyone wanna start a band?
