Keywords and phrases / split long phrases?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am re writing my web content around my keywords/keyphrases, for my product design website. The keywords are based around what I belive potential customers will use when searching.

I want to include north west in my keywords as thats were I am based, so do I use prases in my content like north west product design etc.., or keep north west as a seperate phrase? seperating them would be better as this would mean less keywods/phrases to concentrate on.

I am going to stick with 7 words/phrases as advised on this forum!

Thanks

If you are wanting to rank highly if someone types in north west product design then its best to try and get that complete phrase in there at least once.

Saying that, I believe its always best to write for the customers and not the search engines, so if the sentence wouldn't make sense then I would leave them separate!

Ok thanks.

Another question, My website has different pages offering my core services..like product design, product visualization, product managment etc...

Was going to pick 7 keywords/phrases in my content for the whole site, or should I use 7 per page? really not sure how many keywords I should concentrate on!!

What i usually do is pick 5 main keywords that i will target on the homepage (usually the most related and bring in the most results) and work on them until I acheive my desired results.

I would then work on indiviual products or services on sub pages.

For example; Regal Auto Bulbs Ltd - supplier of vehicle bulbs

Home Page - car bulbs, vehicle bulbs, xenon bulbs, headlight bulbs, car lights

Product pages - night breaker, x-treme, philips, osram (obviously to the relevant page)

It will be good for you to put short phrases - the longer are not much "loved" of the robots. My mind is to put 3-4 word phrases and the target is to be more exact. You can see the specialist's mind and get answer for yourself.

Greetings

another suggestion is to think of questions that people may put in the search box to find your type of product and have that phrase a few times on your website. I have pmed you about the other thread question you had.
