Hi all

I've got a page on a website that if visited under http://www.example.com or example.com needs to redirect to https://www.example.com

The website is on a Windows server and not Linux so I can't use .htaccess

I am trying to use the Meta Tag redirect method but this won't work as the page keeps refreshing and as there is a form to fill in on the page that is no good.

The meta tag I have tried using is:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;url=https://www.example.com">

Do I need to doctor the Meta Tag in order for it to work or is there another method I should use and if so which, and how do I implement it?

Many thanks

John

Have you got an SSL certificate installed on your site?

Hi BlueDreamer, yes I have.

What programming languages are enabled on the server? If none you can do a redirect using IIS..

If you're using IIS:

Hi KieranA

I've not used IIS before. I have PHP enabled on the site. Would Ibe able to have some PHP script to do the job? And if so how would I code it? It is probably very simple but I haven't done it before.

Thanks
