December 8, 200718 yr Come on people. If you could have one thing for christmas what would it be??? All I want for christmas is....... A week off
December 8, 200718 yr All I want for Christmas is... To not be ill, I always end up getting a bad cold for Christmas...so this year Santa please let me be well
December 8, 200718 yr Author You should know better than that Diz. If you ask Santa for something like that, you're almost guaranteed to fall ill!!
December 8, 200718 yr hummm, i dont know seriously... if i really want something ill go get it so ill would ask for something that wont happend anyway... peace on earth!
December 8, 200718 yr hmm... what I would really want is a GeForce 8800GTS gfx card... and 4x2GB sticks of RAM what I will actually get is splitsies on a new flat-screen TV. And my family around me, which is always nice at Christmas time (its the one time my brother stops being a james blunt)
December 8, 200718 yr hmmm.. i don't know really i don't need any pc hardware.. (maybe games ) and not to be ill would be wonderful !
December 8, 200718 yr I know what I'd love for christmas, but it's never going to happen. After a really hard couple of years, I just want to be happy on Christmas Day - not really fussed about gifts for me, but I like giving them. </getting old>

December 8, 200718 yr BWD: most laptops start failing because the battery is no longer providing a high enough voltage. Replace the battery and re-install Windows and it will be like new.
December 8, 200718 yr Author Ok, have changed my mind...... All I want for Christmas is..... A MONTH off! I need a break! Am going bloody crazy! Found myslef arguing with my laptop this morning
December 8, 200718 yr Ok, have changed my mind...... All I want for Christmas is..... A MONTH off! I need a break! Am going bloody crazy! Found myslef arguing with my laptop this morning just this morning wow your laptop must be lucky, I argue with mine all the time...so maybe I will wish that this Christmas my laptop gets a week off
December 8, 200718 yr Its not really that kind of issue, php it dosent have a disk drive, has only a 40gig HDD, and only a 512mb ram, kinda slow...
December 8, 200718 yr BWD: ah okay... I am probably going to get some new RAM off Amazon - you can get SODIMM's off there for about £20 these days (which is a bargain, for those who aren't complete geeks)
December 8, 200718 yr hey Thomas if you want a graphic's tablet i would 100% recommend the Wacom Bamboo... very very good quality and brilliant to work with... and not a big price tag either
December 8, 200718 yr to be able to afford to keep my current flat and buy the house across the road that's just gone on the market...so I guess wads of cash this year would sort me out for Christmas!
December 8, 200718 yr hey Thomas if you want a graphic's tablet i would 100% recommend the Wacom Bamboo... very very good quality and brilliant to work with... and not a big price tag either Cool. Does it come in A5 size? I don't think I want a bigger size as my desk is already filled up with gadgets.
December 8, 200718 yr Cool. Does it come in A5 size? I don't think I want a bigger size as my desk is already filled up with gadgets. I would recommend the Intuos3 by wacom, it is the most amazing tablet. Even though there is a bigger price tag then the bamboo...sometimes you just have to pay that little bit more for perfection. But I guess it just depends on what you want the tablet for as to how much you are willing to spend. http://www.wacom-europe.com/int/products/i...g=en&pdx=32

December 8, 200718 yr personally i would not pay more for the intuos3 as the intuos3 is £200+ where as the Bamboo is only £70 and it is perfection already so i really don't see why you would want to pay more for it... and yes Thomas it does come in A5
December 9, 200718 yr personally i would not pay more for the intuos3 as the intuos3 is £200+ where as the Bamboo is only £70 and it is perfection already so i really don't see why you would want to pay more for it... and yes Thomas it does come in A5 bamboo is way to small. i have a big hand and when i tried the bamboo my hand covered it literally. so i need something longer and bigger. plus the bamboo looks childish
December 9, 200718 yr plus the bamboo looks childish i am sorry but that is a complete lie... in what way does it look childish ? i don't know which one you are looking at
December 9, 200718 yr Maybe he refers to Bamboo Fun which is more rounded with brigher colours as oppose to the Bamboo which is black and more square. I think I'll put this one on my wishlist. Looks promising. <edit> Looking at it, the Bamboo isn't described as being for graphics work. More Office work. The Graphire and Intuos appears to be designed for that purpose. The Cintiq looks very interesting as well </edit>
December 9, 200718 yr <edit>Looking at it, the Bamboo isn't described as being for graphics work. More Office work. The Graphire and Intuos appears to be designed for that purpose. The Cintiq looks very interesting as well </edit> Yup that is why I suggested the Intuos if you are wanting a tablet for design purposes, as the bamboo is not a real 'graphics' tablet and they don't even market it as being one. how they are described * Bamboo One. Easy and compact. Perfect for beginners. * Bamboo. Perfect for office use, at work and at home. * Bamboo Fun. Great for making your hobbies come alive. I'm not saying that the bamboo doesn't have its plus points, its good for the price of it there is no doubt about it. But it is in no way perfection for a designer. I am not saying that because it is more expensive that it is better, I am just saying it from my design point of view having used both tablets. If I use AVVStudios comment that the Bamboo is perfection...then going from this the Intuos is beyond perfection. Also if you are not bothered about the design aspect of it, there are tablets you can get for around £30 that work well As for the Cintiq that is a great looking tablet, I have never had the opportunity to try one of those, I wish I had money to burn

It was... well... I left it it England when I moved without a second's thought to it. Curves would become faceted. And yea, that Cintiq is just something on my InMyDreams wishlist.
December 9, 200718 yr well the Bamboo is perfect for graphic work (i know first hand) even if they don't market it as a graphic-themed tablet...
December 9, 200718 yr well the Bamboo is perfect for graphic work (i know first hand) even if they don't market it as a graphic-themed tablet... this is the tablet im ordering http://direct.wacom.com/stores/5/Intuos3_9...on_P1223C83.cfm and i know the bamboo is fine for graphics work. but its way to small.
December 10, 200718 yr Author just this morning wow your laptop must be lucky, I argue with mine all the time...so maybe I will wish that this Christmas my laptop gets a week off Yeah Diz, First time my laptop has been on the receiving end of my rants lol. Is usually either the desktop pc, the mouse, my coffee cup or the O/H lol. She really should know better than to try talking to me when am in "CodeMode". Zone right out lol. Maybe I should ask santa for the O/H to carry on being understanding...... lol
December 10, 200718 yr I would have said we were just helping Thomas get what he wants for christmas, by offering advice on the products out there So in a way it is still about all I want for christmas...... ohhh who am I kidding you are right it is off topic
