October 29, 200917 yr Hi there, Could someone possibly tell me (or point me in the direction of a forum post/link that explains) how I go about defining a client editable area on a site using Wordpress and Joomla? I want to keep my theme across all of my pages, but allow my client to be able to edit certain text areas. Is it as simple as CushyCMS, or more complicated? I've tried searching Google and the Wordpress forums, but no luck so far. Thanks! Chris
October 29, 200917 yr Hi Chris, both Wordpress and Joomla are a lot more complicated than CushyCMS as they require you to establish a template structure and use PHP tags. If your after an easy to customise CMS without the required PHP knowledge I'd suggest using MODx. With MODx you can use your existing templates and include a number of simple (non PHP)to remember tags, and if you know PHP you can then further expand the site. However with all CMS systems you'll need to learn either a custom template language or use PHP. ChushyCMS is an editing tool rather than a proper CMS in the conventional sense.
