What’s the general feeling on having adsense adverts on a shopping cart? I’ve not sure if I’s a good idea or not, on the one hand I like the idea of generating extra revenue from a site, on the other hand I shouldn’t be encouraging customers to click away from the site without buying anything.

 

Someone suggested to me that if I were to have them on the site I should keep them off reg and view basket pages.

In my opinion running 3rd party ads on an ecommerce site simply cheapens the site

Hmmm yeah i guess that it does, I'm not sure what to do - i suppose i don't want to encourage users to click off the site.

 

Yeah I might remove them actually, although it was interesting learning about adsense

Concentrate on your product information and anything you can to improve sales
