W3C Validator - Document Could Not Be Checked

Featured Replies

Hi,

Im trying to see if my website validates on W3C but when I try and check comes up with this error:

"Sorry, I am unable to validate this document because on line 196 it contained one or more bytes that I cannot interpret as utf-8 (in other words, the bytes found are not valid values in the specified Character Encoding). Please check both the content of the file and the character encoding indication. The error was: utf8 "\xA3" does not map to Unicode"

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.regalautobulbs.co.uk&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

Apreciate any help.

Chris

The clue is there, line 196!

Try this - Open your document and go to line 196. Delete the whole line and retype in your code. Save and revalidate.
