Ive come across these style buttons on a few sites now and i like the look of them and wanted to know if anyone knows the script/source they come from i think there part of the jquery plugins but im not sure.

These are created using jquery. You could just look at the javascript files that his site links to to see how he's achieved it, however these two tutorials might also help:
