I am writing a website for a client who wants full access to all his content, BUT wants it to be standardised via CSS. I have looked for a CMS that I could used to do this. I am a .net guy so you can forget Umbuntu and Wordpress thanks. Not really interested in learning PHP.

 

SO I could go down the DNN or Umbraco route, but don't they give the user a full html editor for CMS or editing via MS Word. That's no good as in many ways it defeats the objective and you end up with pages all looking different and a real dogs breakfast.

 

So I am going to have to write a CMS to do this or does anyone know of a .net cms that isn't too bloated with features no-one uses that works with SQL2005/IIS6?

 

Any comments would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the .NET CMS system. There's plenty of them around.

I personally like Umbraco and think that it gives you a really good functionality.

 

In case like yours, I would build custom CMS (simple one, but customized).

I have used http://www.telerik.com/products/aspnet-ajax/editor.aspx in the past and this had options for only allowing pre determined classes to be applied for formatting within the full visual editor.

 

Might be worth investigating this editor and any CMS that can be used with it.

i know you said no php, but you really wouldn't have to learn much to use drupal for this. Add the fckeditor plugin, you could set this up in about 30 mins, including installing php and mysql to your server.
