Create a player stats table

Featured Replies

I am currently creating a website for an Ice Hockey team. We want to create a list of players and certain stats. When we update it, it will automatically sort the players by Goals & Saves for goalies. How do i create a admin area and pages for this.

Someone should really hint towards a sticky post for this *cough *cough admin team.

You need a database for this - typically Mysql and common language for creating, updating, deleting (so on and so forth) would be PHP.

If you are not familiar with these, i suggest you start googling as it is a vast subject which would be incredibly helpful to any designer/developer.

if you have some experience with php and mySQL this shouldn't be too tricky at all. however, if not i would recommend a: an app such as wordpress which will simplify the whole admin thing for you and offer you more options with the website. b: learning php/mySQl or c: hiring a php developer.

as above it needs a scripting language such as php / mysql .... you could customise a cms to do what you want, but maybe easier to create one yourself or pay someone to create one

Cheers,

I have thought it would involve SQL & PHP, but like people are saying i dont no where to start. I want to search on how to create it, but what would i search for (example how to create a stats table or would it be a certain PHP task).

Thanks for the quick replies
