Internal Linking

Featured Replies

Been reading up about internal linking etc etc. Have a fairly active blog and loads of the posts are PR 3 and 2. If I now go back to those posts and add anchored links etc etc to other pages on my site i.e portfolio pages/home page etc - will it be of any SEO benefit?

But still, it's worth doing it, especially if you have decent articles that will back up your points throughout your portfolio site. For example, if you're explaining search engine optimisation services that you offer, it'd be worth writing an article about it on your blog, then linking back to it in your static page.

I think more importantly though, linking to more information and relevant posts etc. Will hold more benefits with the audience than the search engine, you've got nothing to lost though, so deffo worth doing :)

It will help reduce your bounce rate. If you choose your anchor text carefully it may even benefit your SERPs for the search phrases you choose for your anchor texts.

In my experience definitely use internal linking. Its the most controllable form. Use anchor text using keywords of the destination page. I have seen sites massively boosted in their rankings using internal linking using this method, not least because you pass some of that good PR to the destination page.

Good internal link structure will help the SEO of your site.

Also (and this is one they don't like you knowing) the odd link from your site to a high authority, high PR page on the same subject will also do you the world of good....

SE friendly internal links using the targeted anchors could help websites having better chances for rankings of their inner sections. This can especially be great if you are targeting several keywords.

Internal links are the links with in the different internal pages of a web site.Even these are all belongs to same site,Search engine gives some importance to these links.Generally these links are in the form of Anchor text and it is really a good habit to keep internal links to all pages of your web site..
