June 30, 200917 yr Hi everyone, Ive been looking around, and more and more i see alot of talented people joining up, looking for a point in the right direction, willing to work for free to get experience. Is it just me, or shouldnt these be snapped up by small teams and companies, as in effect it is part of the work done for free, maybe a small price, but they also get the experience. To me it seems mutually beneficial, and i am hoping to take someone on in this role to help them. Am i mad? Reaper PS: sorry if the grammar isnt that great, im soooo sleepy.....
June 30, 200917 yr I agree with you Reaper, once I have enough business to warrant an additional person and office space etc I'm probably going to get someone in. How's your world domination plans going with your new salesguy?
June 30, 200917 yr Author Not going too bad. Got a big meeting tommorrow to get him up to speed, then he can start getting going with the 3000 leads ive managed to generate. Reaper
July 1, 200917 yr I did a 2 week work experience with a web/graphic designer in February this year as part of my college course. I didn't know anything about CSS, knew next to nothing about HTML but had a very good understanding of Photoshop. After the 2 weeks were up I knew enough about CSS to create a full basic site in it. I'm doing 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off in there for the summer because it's free work and then I can use those 2 weeks to get some work to keep the money coming in. I don't mind it one bit because I like doing it and I'm learning a crazy amount everyday I'm there. Hopefully he can afford to keep me on some way or another when the summer is finished. I used the number 2 there a lot
July 2, 200917 yr Definately beneficial to both parties! We currently have two apprentices with us. The way it works with us there are training companies that pay trainees £50 per week, where they get a work placement, on the job experience and gain NVQ qualifications at the end of it. Sometimes you get lucky and have someone hard working and determined, other times you will get someone that has no intention of learning/working and are only there for the £50. For years we have been doing this, you get an extra pair (two pair in our case) of hands! It's great!
July 7, 200917 yr I don't have enough knowledge about this matter. i just suggest you should take help of any experience person or good site as like given below. Best of Luck ______________ home based credit repair

I know apprentices dont get minimum wage, but £50 per week? that barely seems worth it to me. 40 hour week it work out at £1.25 an hour. Reaper
July 8, 200917 yr I know apprentices dont get minimum wage, but £50 per hour? that barely seems worth it to me. 40 hour week it work out at £1.25 an hour. Small typo there, Reaper? I think as well, part of the return is that the company supports the student at college, paying the course fees and so on, plus they are at college at least one day a week and not in the office, so it isn't a full working week. Granted, it still isn't a great wage, but they are gaining valuable work experience as well as being given a chance to get qualifications past school and earn a bit of cash while they're at it.
July 8, 200917 yr Author What typo? Hang on, you've modified my quote!!!! So if i want an apprentice, that cant do much for the first year, i have to pay £5,000 in fees, and then a further £50 a week all for them to run off after the first year? One of the reasons i prefer anyone i work with to be on a commssion basis, i find it fairer for all. Reaper
July 8, 200917 yr I would be well up to doing just some work experience for a company or small business etc. I might try and get in touch with some companies in my local area and see if I can get them to offer me some etc. I wouldn't want any pay for this as I currently hold down two jobs and study in my spare time etc, just would be if I could find somewhere local to me.
July 8, 200917 yr Author Hi Junior, Im not local, but if you fancy doing it remotely, let me know. Reaper

August 25, 200917 yr I've just been looking into apprentices at work (not this line of work) and it was £90 per week. If you want them to stay though it is suggested you pay them more. If I wasn't so old I'd do it lol, round here they've said only 16 - 18 year olds can do it.
August 25, 200917 yr I've been trying to get some expe :lol:riance with a web based company for ages. most of the ones have tried have been in london and so possibly over subscribed anyway but I would just love to know that I was learning the right stuff and get a guage of the level I am at. at the moment I create all the marketing and web stuff for my work but on my own so no one to bounce ideas off or to compare work against. have made friends with someone who works for ASOS so hoping I can sneak in there office for a day!!!......While they're there I mean! I'm not going to burgle the place!!!
