May 29, 200917 yr Ive seen many sites that have long pages of links from sites they have exchanged links with. Should i do the same or to add links within page text, or add a few links to the bottom of each page. Currently i have a site that i havent done any link exchanges for but still managed to get some PR, im worried that if i dont place exchanged site links on my site in the correct way it could produce negative effects. Can someone give me some advice on this please?

"Links" pages are not visited often and don't receive as many inbounds as other pages, so the link 'juice' is usually diminished. If you really have a lot on one page, Google can penalize you for it and target it as a "link harvest" page. Hope that helps!
July 17, 200917 yr I have to agree... When Google feels that you are harvesting links they have tend to share their information (Right or Wrong) with all the top search sites.
