May 6, 200917 yr Hi I'm looking for a bit of advice from those who have previously installed WorldPay integration. It's my first time I have a client who has an existing website which catalogues products with prices but with no online shopping - they were waiting until they'd decided on a payment processor and got it all set up with that first. They have gone with WorldPay - that's all fine, I have everything in place on test pages and have successfully run a test transaction. What is confusing me is WorldPay's procedure for their own test and approval before making the account live, and I've been going in circles around their help files! Am I supposed to have everything in place on the site in test form, waiting or them to do their bit, which they say can take two days? Or am I OK to make sure all the required bits like the logo and so on are in place across all the site but give them access to a private page to complete their test transaction and say "this page will replace XXX once you make us live"? I can't see my client being happy having the test pages live and in place while we wait for WorldPay to do their bit. Thanks in advance...
May 7, 200917 yr Author Well, I've tried asking their support department and can't get past the support form - I fill it all in and am asked to confirm the email address create an account. I press the button to continue and it says there is an error as passwords must be four characters or more. There is no field for passwords. On either FF, IE8 or IE7. I've also logged into the Merchant interface as my client but can't see anywhere in there to ask a support question as a logged in member. Any ideas? I am going off WorldPay rapidly.
May 7, 200917 yr Once you have successfully made test transactions keep records of the transactions ID's, date/time etc then visit http://www.worldpay.com/support/content.ph...&sub=golive for details on going live. You will need to inform WP that you done the test - they will then test the site as well, mostly for compliance, and let you know when they turn your account to live. To do this WP must be active on the live site, but I've found they sometimes turn around request same day, if not within 24 hours.

I got all that bit about what I need to record and do, it's just the fact I need to have a cart live without it actually being live I have the problem with. Are they not OK with having, say, just one page with it on and then adding it over the rest of the site later? It doesn't seem like a very friendly way of doing things. Though, to be fair, I suppose most people install the cart at the time of developing the site, so it wouldn't really matter. Well, I guess if the client has a problem he can go to WP and moan at them, it ain't my fault! Cheers
May 9, 200917 yr No they need to see it on a live site. If the client doesn't want to close the site temporarily normally I would make a custom customer type for Worldpay staff and only show the payment method available for that customer type when logged in - then it's just a case of instructing WP staff to login.

It isn't set to run accounts, but that's a good one to remember for future, thanks.
