coffee cup software

Featured Replies

hi peeps

I recently came across this website https://www.coffeecup.com/store/ and reads about great softwares that seem to do everything for you which is great for starters like me and i was just wondering if anyone is using their softwares if so how

* easy is it?

* which ones do you use?

* is it great value for money?

if you know other software places like this please let me know :good:

I use their Google Sitemapper which makes great google xml sitemaps in seconds but the html version created by the programme sucks, does not validate and very bulky! Their html editor is okay but notepad++ and html kit are better and both are free. The photograph album thing does not work very well in my opinion and JAlbum is better and free with hundreds of options. There form creator works pretty well but the form is flash so again not the best option. I have not used any of their other stuff.

I would say no, there are many other free or cheap alternatives that you can download and use instead, try NotePad++ for coding websites, and SwishMax for flash. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Coffee Cup software, especially when individuals outsource work to me and tell me they've done everything so far in Coffee Cup.

Cheers for the advice much apprecciated!!

I was going to buy the softwares of;

Web cam so i can turn it into the security feature and give to people for when baby sitters look after kids, baby monitor, property watch or very small companies but I was un-sure if this could be coded into a website for them to look at where ever the client is or if it was only viewed from the pc the programme is situated on :S

Dukebox as I had trouble with getting players to work from http://www.tufat.com/docs/mp3/ in dreamweaver for some reason but I really wanted to know how I could upload new skins to this software if possible? if so how?

Live chat which I liked the sound of as you can make chat rooms or private online help unless there other places that are better like i've seen webassets skypetool kit which I haven't got to using yet.

But seeing as you guys advise other programmes for doing better jobs I trust your judgments as i'm new to this still and once again thank you for your help :)

Ah, I see. The webcam software by CoffeeCup is the leading piece of software, and as far as I'm aware, you install the software on a server and on a computer so it can be displayed online and constantly stream. However, I wouldn't just buy the software without knowing that you'll use it, it could be a waste of money - and you don't want any unecessary overheads. You can charge a client for it when you pay for it, particularly as the licensing issues might be a problem; sometimes you're not allowed to use some online softwares more than once.

With MP3 players, you're rarely going to use them on a website, few people like music or sounds on websites, so that might be a waste of money again, if you're thinking about doing it for your own then I wouldn't bother.

When designing a website, everyone goes through the 'useless gadgets' stage, and I think that's what you're going through at the moment. You probably won't need any of the above, so I'd save your money until you definitely do, at which point you might be able to make your own MP3 player in Adobe Flash.

Coffeecup have been around for donkeys of years and they make some good software, ok so the HTML editor isn't the choice of professionals but it's not that bad :) If you want quick fixes then CC software fills the gap.

Once again guys cheers for the advice :D

I probably be needing the mp3 players as I know people and I myself will be needing as I'll will be releasing 2 instrumental albums soon and basically from that has got me started into learning photoshop for album covers to web designing to put my cd online etc but I will learn how to make them myself otherwise you dont improve and never the best way to rely on gadgets like you say.

any tutorials or sites to point me in the direction to learn the action script for this type of genre?
