Net Nannies

Featured Replies

Hi guys and girls,

A client has asked me to create him a website. He wants to use a url which has the word wessex in it. My slight concern with this is that wessex contains the word sex. Anyone know if wessex is likely to be blocked by net nannies in schools, colleges and even the workplace?

Thanks

I have encountered net nannies so scrupulous that nothing gets by - brings back memories of trying in vain to search for a publishing company named 'Hardman'.

That was a couple of years ago though . . .

Im not entirely sure now; however when i was at college nothing with "rude" words got through, not even something as simple as essex university would

At least you don't have to worry about the c*nt in S****horpe :D

Always a favourite for bad language filters and usually messes it up (see above).
