April 20, 200917 yr Do designers on here make and sell their own templates (i.e. for websites, WordPress, etc.)? I'm just wondering if I'm missing out on an opportunity to make a few extra quid or not lol
April 20, 200917 yr imo its over crowded and its stupid hard to get heard over the crowd. however, you could make them for free with a link to your site and then sell another footer link there. you might make £500+ pa from that.
April 20, 200917 yr We never sell templates. Mainly because the ones we produce are unique - and they wouldn't integrate with another site easily since the systems are built around the design specifically.
April 20, 200917 yr Author I noticed on Template Monster they have an option where you can sell multiple copies or only one of any template you have. Things like WordPress templates seem to be the best templates to design, if you wanted to design templates, from what I can gather.

April 21, 200917 yr Author OK. I think for the time/effort involved in making them and the little return made on them, it sounds kinda pointless going down that avenue.
April 22, 200917 yr I think that, like all of these things, the key is in the quality of the design. If your WP designs stand out there is certainly good money to be made in going down that route...
