Your coding is good Could work on the design concept though. I like the front page, it's awesome. I learned alot from looking at the code. ;D

The inside of the site could use a little work though, and the banner too. The blur at the top might not be a good idea.

that has to be possibly one of the worst entrance pages iv seen, theres colours everywere, the text is distorted , it just looks like you have creatd a mess in photoshop IMO. it doesnt even fit the screen there big white gaps at the bottom where the image ends.

The images are all a bit low-res, and I would go for like brighter attractive colours for the layout, not grey and black.

 

The content is a bit confusing, it's quite hard to tell that you are offering a website design service, and I advise not to have google ad's on the page if you are offering a web design service, just looks a bit taccy.

 

But the game is fun I'll give you that.

Well if i was going to have an entrance page, (which i think is a bad idea anyways) i wouldnt just splash images around and do some smudging in photo shop, I would make sure my text was visible for a start, you posted on this fourm because you want criticism, so i gave you it....

Your entrance 'splash' page has a 'tribal' type thing which im guessing touches the bottom of your screen - it duznt on mine!

Also, on your website your background image is repeated and i dont think you meant for it to do that either.

 

Plus you should check your spelling - 'loofed' ?? 'rubish' ??

 

But dont give up or be put off, listen to the comments and better yourself. Ive had to scrap whole sites and start again!!

I don't know for how long u have been coding, but you can code well.

I like the idea of the website but you need to spend more time on finding good colors. Right know it looks like you just found couple images copied in photoshop and made a design in 10 minutes. For example your top banner. Your sub and main menu look poor. You need to use better quality images

Id say definately lose the splash page, they were cool a while ago but in fairness they dont do all that much; infact alot of my clients have said they avoid pages with flash intros etc; alot of people if they dont have it dont want flash to be installed just to view a website; to put it blunt - that red x in the corner is alot of users best friend if they dont get what theyre after immediately.

Splash pages are the worst thing ever imo, takes one more click to get where you want for no reason? I'm pretty sure this has a negative effect on bounce rates etc.

 

It's a heavy sized page too, like previously said? Also do you use a laptop? Just the way it's positioned.

to the fantastic dreamweaver! Where I have been learning to create much better looking pages, which is great, as that is why I wanted to learn css.

 

inline styles kind of defeats the objective of css, and it's still cluttered with tables, which again isn't good. Tables are for tabular data, unluckily it was abused for layout in the 90's and that problem's shadowed the web ever since.

 

Personally i think DW's a clunky piece of *ahem*

 

Design wise though, i'm on the second page of your site, and i don't really know what it's about?

 

The sites inconsistent, each page layout is different, and plagued by that dreaded adsense which sticks out like a sore thumb.

 

I could go on... but i won't...

 

Ive had to scrap whole sites and start again!!

 

I think everyone's had to do that, just keep pushing, it's the best thing to do...

 

Also are you using wysiwyg? That's how i started, took me a couple of years, and plenty of flames on many forums before i took the plunge, got notepad (quickly changed to notepad++) and hand coded, took a while to get used to, but my god, that was the best decision i ever made. I still feel a bit sick that if i'd done that from the off, i could be so much more advanced than i am now. But we learn from our mistakes.

 

Ditch the wysiwygs, in the long run, they take alot more time than hand coding, and offer no real benefits other than an easy learning curve.

Hey, thanks for the feed back. Yeh I am using a laptop, and its wide screen. lol. I don't know how to make it so that my pages fit on to all resolutions, and most of the time have scroll bars along the bottom.

 

I tried using notepad not long back and I thought it was better than wysiwygs, but I got so frustrated with it. I made a page that I really liked, it looked perfect in Firefox but crap in internet exporer. I didn't know how to get around this. lol. For now I think I am going to stick with dreamweaver which I have been using for the past week and make my site more based on web design, maybe do away with the main homepage and make a really decent business area. lol

Generally you have to build for FF and debug for IE, 90% of my problems comes from the fact i have to clear floats for IE that i don't have to clear in FF.

 

If you keep it as clean and minimal as possible, you shouldn't have too many problems, apart from the odd quirk in IE (and my god, there's a lot, and they get frustrating) and maybe safari/chrome and opera.

 

IE allows you to use conditional comments to target only IE, so you can add separate styles to overwrite your defaults to fix IE.

 

Just keep at it, i have dreamweaver, but personally can't make head to tail of it, and it takes forever to load, and doesn't really offer me much more than i already have.

Hey, your new website is better, but you kind of sacrificed some style. I suggest you think of ways to improve the site's color scheme with your company's pinkish colors, and try to give your company it's own feel. It feels like a generic corporate site now.

Its a ton of improvement since your last one believe me, it's certainly a lot more professional and although the designs a little bit dull, its about a 50% improvement keep going.

Hi, also consider using CSS for your site layout. Frames will tend to make things a bit confusing and using tables for layout is so yesterday.

Targeting a wider screen width would make sense. Very few people are on 800px wide desktops these days. For example, see this web design.

No Meta data.

 

I can see you have your domain redirecting so it always says your URL in the address bar but you should still be able to amend TITLE and meta data.
