Hi,

I have gone on to the webmasters toolkit site and looked at how many sites are linked to my site.

The information appears like this:

 

Google 0

Altavista 54

MSN 0

All the Web 42

Yahoo 48

 

Why does Google not see any backlinks and Yahoo does?

Google hides some backlinks. I am not sure why, but my guess is probably to protect rankings.

 

Try AltaVista.

yahoo always showing all backlinks but goole is not showing al backlinks because google is showing only 5 % backlinks in search and if you want to check all backlinks in google then check google webmaster tool where you will find all backlinks google cached

Google's link popularity tool is not 100% accurate, and only picks up a few of the links you have.

 

We show as having 25,000 inks on yahoo, but only 530 links on google.

 

Yahoo is the best one to go by.
