That's the sort of advice I need. So what sort of sites should I backlink??

natural backlinks are what you are after, if you have interesting content then you will get linked to...you have to remember that one backlink from a good source is better than 100 backlinks from crap sources.

dofollow, blog comments, directories, and social book marks. also republish ur blog posts on article sites and include some contextual links with ur keywords.

seo for firefox (sorry no time to post link right now) will highlight in red nofollow links, so if a blogs comments are clear then they are followed. rememebr no spamming!

well, any site could be bad, even google.co.jp was found to be black hatting it. you should only link to people you really really trust, if at all. personally i dont link but if i had a blog i would be forced to but anything your blogging about should be ok...

That doesn't really answer the question does it.. Well to find out i suppose you could check out the sites backlinks and see where they are coming from, if they look like they are paid for and out of place then maybe you should stay clear.

Thanks for the link Scott
