March 12, 200917 yr I tried to start a thread like this a while ago and it aslo died an even quicker death. WDF isn't great for these types of posts although I wish it was.
March 13, 200917 yr I'm not ignoring you - you just pretty much listed everything! On top of what you listed I'd add: Speaking to contacts - made throughout my career Creating strategic partnerships - i.e. with web designers (you might like to try with a copywriter!) Hob-nobbing and just bumping into people - never underestimate this one! The extra mile - I genuinely do as much as I can for clients and that gets me referrals; I never just 'do the job' and help stretch client budgets as far as I can and offer advice/ skills from my career as a Business Analyst to help with their business... I don't just write, I do whatever I can to get my clients more customers. Do they count?! Oh, and I never try to get more traffic - only more clients!
March 13, 200917 yr Forum and Blog Commenting ukbusinessforum - i have managed to get 100 possible clients come to be for advice and a free trial over there. its worth hanging out where people need sites, not where people make them
March 23, 200917 yr Googles where its at if you want users from all around the world, theres ways to get your site very high up on the google search query list
March 24, 200917 yr Website Design Sydney offer affordable search engine optimization services, a professional approach and customized solutions for business of all sites. Probably should be 'businesses of all sizes'? There's a marketing tip for you Gareth - don't make a mistake in your message! Not to mention you should tailor your message to fit so it doesn't come across as spam and, the most important tip in marketing... OFFER SOMETHING concrete - don't talk about subjective waffle like 'solutions' and 'affordable' - if your offer's good then you should be able to give concrete benefits and reasons. Oh, and make it catchy, engaging, intriguing etc...
March 27, 200917 yr Pre-web technology (we are humans after all) Get involved with other groups of people, and hand out business cards. I've also seen people have something that looks like B5 paper cut in half length-wise with their business letter head on it, that they use to make client related notes. So rather than using note paper for things, add the company logo to it. Hmm... just thinking about making this clearer. People who were involved in the Free Masons made their business contacts through this network. So, if you get involved in community groups, then you'll be meeting people and meeting opportunities.
April 8, 200917 yr Usually ezinearticles.com is one of the best ways of getting good traffic and back-links, i've been trying it on few of my latest sites like latest-technews.com, Bollywood Updates, C-C++ Programming Tutorial, FreshersArea and now planning to use the same strategy for my official business website. Moreover, as the saying goes- Content is indeed king, write killer articles, google, yahoo and all search engines will simply love your site
April 22, 200917 yr Looks like you guys missed off affiliate marketing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affiliate_marketing
April 22, 200917 yr Youtube. Videos are becoming so popular now that sometimes when you do a search on google, a video is the first response. Creating videos with tutorials or useful tips, adding the right keywords to the tittle and video description and most importantly, back links... My personal opinion!
