March 4, 200917 yr I would like to raise a question about social book sites here! What are your ideas, recommendations and strategies on how to promote a website in social networks like Digg, Delicious and others? Is there any sense to perform website submission to social networking sites and how to get high amounts of traffic as a result? Could you please share your own experience on this matter?
March 7, 200917 yr I've not had much success with them. Digg is a difficult one because they only seem to go for technology and computer news stories. Most other stuff seems to get buried, and God help you if you try to openly promote your site there.
March 7, 200917 yr If your site or article gets on the front page of Digg, I hope your website can handle it, the digg effect usually cashes small websites
March 7, 200917 yr Digg is a bit of beast, its a bit like high school lots of cliches and friend groups and if your story annoys one of these groups you can expect it to be buried. You can promote your own site but don't do it too much and make sure the article is good enough. I have managed to get in with a few groups and regularly chat with them, when I do a good article I then share it with my friends who then help me promote on sites like digg, reddit and stumbleupon I then twitter about it and some of my followers retweet it if they like and then the word just spreads. So in my experience it is great if you have good content and the time to work a lot before you see any rewards.
