HTML Editors

Featured Replies

hi guys

can anyone recommend any good HTML Editors

I like notepad++ :)

But there are some nice ones for a mac, so depending on what Luke1 uses would depend on what would be best to use.

Yep.

Only thing that annoys me on notepad2, is when it recognizes a file being a .css, the font for the elements is really unreadable on my computer.

That's why I use notepad++ for my css documents. =]

editplus 3 - very nice indeed :)

for mac though there's emacs, which is extremely good.

I second Notepad++

Split screen and tabbed interface makes things easier, you can have html in one and css in the other, or whatever combinations helps you most.

It handles pretty much every language, has a few plugins.

My preference anyway.

Alot of people on this forum really do recommend NotePad++ -I'm going to have to give it a try if it's such a popular choice.

I currently use Deamweaver and am happy with that, but I doubt I even use 10% of it's full capabilities.

So NotePad ++ (or even Coda) might be the way to go.

Thanks for the advice
