Hello I'm a full-time web designer and HTML / CSS developer living in sunny Brisbane, Australia. I've joined these forums because they look like a really fun and active place that I'd love to be a part of and I've subscribed to the RSS feed so I can help out too.

 

For those who want to know a little bit more about me - I'm 28 years old, female, married (no children, two cats!), and I've been working in web design for 7+ years. I also draw / paint (www.treelightstudios.com) and write music (www.alarinmusic.com).

 

Anyway thanks for having me! I look forward to becoming part of this community.

Thanks Eskymo I recognize your website! I think I saw it from one of the CSS gallery showcases about a year ago and I really liked it, it stuck in my head. I just watched your fish + dynamite animation, hehe that's awesome!

That got me a lot of work when I first started out!

I think it's a freelance thing. I get to bed late and get up late. Think I'm living in a different timezone.

I know a lot of people here who would give their right arm to live in Australia.

 

The grass is always greener on the other side.....but as a friend of mine said to me years ago "same ****, different location"

 

I came to live here in the West Highlands because there are less people but this weekend 20,000+ people are coming to a rock concert just down the road from my house....

Hehe yeah what is it with creatives and being night owls. Practically all of my webby / arty / music(y) friends are at their most creative about 10 O'Clock at night and yet I've worked at studios that demanded an 8:30am start. It's uncivilised I tell you!
