December 10, 200817 yr Hello designers, I completed designing and developing my new website a few days ago: Logo Wish - Logo Design Inspiration Gallery It is a logo inspiration gallery and I have listed a good amount of amazing logos, and I am adding new logos everyday, so do the visitors of the website. Please do let me know what you think overall, and if you have any suggestions let me know. Guys I would like your support so if you love my site, then kindly tell your friends about it and keep visiting it constantly as I am adding new logos everyday. The website has no real PR because it's 5 days old only, but I started to receive some decent traffic already and the site is being bookmarked by many people that I don't even know. This is a great thing and I'm glad of this. I think the reason people are liking it, is that I am accepting and submitting only the best logos. Please submit your best logos too and feel free to rate and comment on the others. Thanks much, Wassim

I like your site, but the font is too generic, mix it up with something more creative. The general font is too plain and boring for the artistic nature of the site. Keep in mind, don't go use some exotic font unless in a picture because other computers may not have that same font. I am glad your receiving a decent amount of traffic already and look forward to your small improvements to make the site even better!
December 10, 200817 yr Author Hello Logam, thanks alot for your reply. I am so sorry if the post seemed more to an advertisement, it's for a review ofcourse... I think it's the fact that it's my first post in Web Designer Forum. I am so active in many other forums, but yesterday I found this great one and I thought it will be awesome to see your opinions.... My apology again if it seemed for advertisement purposes and if you think it is then please feel free to remove my post. Back to our subject.... well I am using Times New Roman, I usually use Arial and Verdana... because those are system fonts. I have tons of great fonts that will make the site look much better, however as you pointed, I wasn't able to include them because it's not right to put texts as images in the website, since they will not be indexed by Search Engines, and will make your site take more time to load. Anyway, what do you think the appropriate font that should be used in this case? Please advice... Thanks again and I really appreciate your thoughts. December 10, 200817 yr Mate, well done! Great idea! Wish you all the best! I will upload some of the logos i designed...
December 10, 200817 yr Potential copyright issues here.. do you check to see if the copyright actually belongs to the person uploading it?
December 10, 200817 yr Hi Don’t worry about over-selling yourself with words -its called eagerness. The website looks stunning and I bet loads will love it. A mention has been made to copyright which you must take heed of. Terms & Conditions - need adding to the website. Just keep them short and sweet. Good luck.
December 10, 200817 yr Some nice logos there! A habit of mine is to check how fluid a website is and for my dual monitor set-up, once you expand the window to a certain size, it breaks the layout. Try inserting a clear:both div after your first row and before the second row so it forces a break.
December 11, 200817 yr Author Hi bumfluff. Yes, there is copyright issues here. Actually the credits go to the designer only. When someone submits his logo, he should insert the link to the designer's website, otherwise his submission will never be approved. This is clearly explained in this page: http://logowish.net/About_Logo_Wish.aspx It is more like when someone digg a story and link to the story page... But in this case it's only about logos. Thanks. Potential copyright issues here.. do you check to see if the copyright actually belongs to the person uploading it?

December 11, 200817 yr Author Thanks Peter. I appreciate what you're saying and I am taking what you said into consideration. Yeah I'm happy that people are liking the site because there are quality work for alot of designers there... It's the first time that I make something where others find it really useful. Thank you all guys for your support. Hi Don’t worry about over-selling yourself with words -its called eagerness. The website looks stunning and I bet loads will love it. December 11, 200817 yr Author Thanks. I will check this issue as soon as possible... thanks for pointing this. Regards, Wassim Some nice logos there! December 11, 200817 yr Yes, there is copyright issues here. Actually the credits go to the designer only. When someone submits his logo, he should insert the link to the designer's website, otherwise his submission will never be approved. This is clearly explained in this page:http://logowish.net/About_Logo_Wish.aspx That doesn't really cover it. From that page: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Should I submit my own logos only? No. You can submit any logo that you find online and you think is good enough to be listed in our gallery. Please note that credits go to the designer only, so if you were to put somebody's logos, you should include his website instead of yours, otherwise your submission will be rejected. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The credit part is irrelevant - you need the copyright holder's permission to reproduce their intellectual property on your site. Saying to people that they can upload any logo that they find is basically saying that you are allowing copyright infringement. The only way you could get around it is to follow each submission up by contacting the designer/owner and asking them if they'll allow you to use their work. As owner of the site, it's your legal responsibility to make sure you have that permission.
December 12, 200817 yr Hi blumbuff is the one to thank, because they saw the hole in the fence. Just make certain that you keep things simple and secure. Good luck
