Hi,

I really don't like it... I am sorry but the wood grain design and font are so generic and plain. The site doesn't look appealing and wtf is with the image about poetry? Your text is messy, page is too stretched and too dull and depressing.

Take a look at www.puredezigner.com for a good portfolio site.

Sorry, good luck with your site :)

Hey there!

It keeps on and on btw, I have had the same problem..tweak here, tweek there.

For me, the navigation is a strange place right the way over to the right.

On my browser - safari, your page is very wide and I have to scroll.

Also, there are a couple of validation issues that may or may not need sorting here

I'm not really sure the site shows off what you can do? I like the simplicity but I'm not sure the tiled wood effect does it justice. You might want to try playing with a bigger or different font for the body text or maybe just space it out a bit more.

I hope this helps....happy tweaking :)

In short, no, and I'd argue that the sites you've featured on your site are not finished either. More attention to detail is required I'm afraid.

Thank you so very much for your honest opinion its very much appreciated, I was having a feeling that the wood grain background was getting out of style, again thank you for the insight you have allowed me to have on my site.

For a site called superdwayne, it's not so 'super'. Planks of wood are not super. Think action, think dynamism, think boldness and colour. That image in your recent work section was slightly strange also, not exactly showcasing your graphical skills. So, in short, no, it's not finished. Be more adventurous! :santa_afro:

Hi there,

Your site does lack a bit of punch, if you are going for minamilist it has to have style by the bucket load and unfortunatly the balance is off, The simple H2 header does not give much impact, the navigation is a tad small and out the way.

If you are trying to attract potential employers/clients then the first thing I would want to see is your work the little thumbs of your sites is not screaming out look at me, I can design you a great website, if I was looking to recruit/commision you I would want to know how are you going to make my site fantastic.

You do seem to be keen on promoting yourself, but the kind of promotion seems to be wrong, the superdwayne domain, "pictures of Dwayne" and "A Bit about me" not really relevant, the only thing I would be interested in is what you are currently studying and I would want to look at your work and see how good you are. most people who visit a portfolio are looking for someone to do something for them and their business, the fact that your generaly super wont be relevant to a client, they will just want to know, how is this guy going to make ME super.

I personaly think you need to focus on a striking homepage that catches the eye and imagination.

Things I would suggest.

Get a header design, try and make it portray what you are about as a designer, are you slick, contemporary, and all business?

or are you bold, bright, and fun?

Give priority to your work, set aside a good chunk of your homepage to saying "Look what I can do for you"

do promote yourself but perhaps make it a seperate page that can be navigated to by interested parties, by all means tell the world how good you are but do it with relevance.
