.com verses .org

Featured Replies

I am working on cancer website who's prime market place is the US.

Am I best using a .org or could I use a .com (normally I would only use a .com for a business)?

I believe I am correct in saying I should host in the US with a .com. But what about the .org where should I host that, or does it not matter?

Thanks for your replies.

Regards

Robert

The trend for non-profitable organisations seems to be .org, so I'd go with that. Remember that UK websites usually use .org.uk :).

Go with .org if it's an organization. And .com if it's a Company.

org is generally for non-profit organizations. If this is a business website - use .com

Regarding hosting - if the target audence is in the US - you should use a US hosting company.
