The Best E-Commerce Solution

Featured Replies

I am a little stuck on what e-commerce solution to use.

I have been looking at x-cart. This seems too hard to edit to the way I would like it to look.

I need something really professional and secure.

Doesn't need to be free. Just needs to be the right choice.

The site below is something that I would like to achieve?

Could Anyone help me on this... been stuck for a while.

Dan :)

I recommend ZenCart or, for simpler applications, OSCommerce. OSC is much easier to use IMHO, so if you don't need the additional features of ZenCart then I'd go in that direction. Also, there seems to be more support and modules (languages, templates, etc) for OSC.

I definitely do NOT recommend AgoraCart; I could never get it to work.

I have used X-Cart for a couple of E-commerce stores, but to be honest with you Zen-CArt could certainly achieve the results you are looking for Dan.

It's the usual 3 column design with a nice eye catching sales pitch at the top. Do you have much coding/designing experience? There's a really strong community with Zen-Cart which I found really helpful when developing an online store.

If you need any more help just let us know.

Regards :)

I've just set up a site using sunshop shopping cart and found it to be quite easy to use yet feature-rich at the same time.

Do you guys host the software yourselves or outsource? What would you recommend?

I do the hosting myself (so far) through Bluehost, as long as the client understands that hosting doesn't mean 24/7 free tech support for life. :p
