Okay.

2nd review of TheWindCutter.com Tear it apart. LINK

Also would you test out live chat?

Thanks,

Meshach

P.S. Could you try it in all your browsers? Thanks.

The first thing I notice is that the word 'aardvark' keeps popping in at the top of the screen then disappearing pushing all the content down. It's pretty strange.

FF2, Mac. Have you tested in Firefox?

Edit - I can't get this behavior to repeat, but believe me, it happened!!!

Hmm.... Very strange.. I haven't noticed that and I tested it in FF3 on Windows.

Could do with the content having a different colour background to the page background.

Here's a video of that bizarre behavior, I wasn't going mad after all! :pp

I couldnt get the .mov to attach (what's the score?) so I uploaded to dropsend.

Edit: Link deleted, new link below

Nice Design, Good content and good use of imagery. :bangb:

Although may I suggest you apply some sort of anti-alais to the softened edges of your blue rectangles?

I don't like the bright blue sides to it, a little too bright IMO.

bright blue sides to what? :)

How do you mean?

Edit: Please don't download this file until Meshach has downloaded and replied to this post. The file has been downloaded 5 times already and it gets deleted after 10 downloads. Thanks

I downloaded it and I have Quicktime 7.5 PRO for Windows but I can't get it to play. Just says "You need an additional component to play this video file."

Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Meshach

Any other comments or critique?

I am almost ready to launch.

Thanks,

The blue is very, very bright and is making me squint.

Also, there isn't much content on your home page... surely you should have featured products or something? 4 lines of text looks very unprofessional.

Firebug is pointing at your inlcude.php file line 163

It looks like it's entering a loop where it keeps issuing a get (via ajax possibly as the page doesn't seem to be reloading entirely each and every time)

The word appears in its own div

id="aardvark_img_LiveConnection1" alt="Aardvark"

I'm 95% sure it has got something to do with your live chat support widget

Alright Eris. Added more content. What do you think now?

Thanks Calum... Do you know how I would fix this?

Anybody else have any more comments on Design?

Thanks,

Meshach

I love the header, sharp and professional looking. The blue used in the boxes below e.g 'online shop' etc would look far better in a much calmer colour or paler shade. Its in competition with the header and really makes the content in those boxes hard to focus on. A lighter colour would allow the header to be more dynamic and the content easier on the eye.

The content is easy to read and navigate, homepage tells me enough to get me interested, great.

Good luck with the venture....

Thank you tcd. All critique is accepted greatfully!

So are you saying I should change the color of the background in the sideboxes?

Thanks,

Meshach
