Hosting comparable to Rackspace?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I currently host sites with my old company on their Racksapce servers.

For various reasons, those servers could be ceasing soon - I have started to collect a few freelance clients and would now want to host them on my own server.

I would need a server I could host (potentially) many sites on with:-

Linux Environment

PHP4

mySQL databases (1 per client)

Ideally PLESK

Good support

The support is really a big thing as Rackspace support is amazingly good - and for me, what makes it worth the money (if you can afford it!).

Has anyone got any good UK based solutions please?

As I'm just really starting out, I need something affordable, but I appreciate to get what I want, may cost a bit.

Thanks, Paul.

The names that spring to mind are

http://www.clook.co.uk/ - I use them, superb support

http://www.ukdedicated.com/ - same company as Flump and 123 Reseller who are both well rated

...both use Cpanel though.

http://www.unitedhosting.co.uk/ always gets good reviews and the use Plesk I think

Ill shoot you a message

Hi Paul,

I would recommend checking out PeartreeUK - for one their service is absolutely amazing and I've extremely happy with them. For the first time in years I've stopped worrying about my server.
