Alternating images

Featured Replies

I am trying to creating an image on a website that changes between two images, i assume this is a flash movie? I am a stranger to flash but have worked through a tutorial and managed to create the two images on different layers. I cannot get them to run consecutively. Am I barking up the wrong tree here? is there a simple function in DW that will do this? if i need flash how do I get the timeline to alternate the two images?

There is a behavior in DW that will do it for you... can't say I've ever used it but i'm sure it's there somewhere ;)

If it's a simple 2 image transition, an easy quick way to do this would be to use Image Ready (which is part of PhotoShop) and save as an animated gif.

Hello

You can move between two or more images on one layer in Flash, using keyframes. Rightclick a frame on the main timeline and select Insert Keyframe.

To alternate between two images :

1. On the first frame - drag an image onto the stage or import to stage.

2. On a later frame, Insert KeyFrame. You will see you original image on this frame - select it + delete it. If you click on frame one, your image is still there. Select the new keyFrame again + drag/import another image onto the stage.

3. Add a new frame further along the timeline - rightclick + select Insert Frame. If you had 20 frames between the first frame and the keyframe you added, add the new frame 20 frames after the keyframe.
