  1. Having been in IT management, I've decided that this realm is not for me, and have made a conscious decision to divert my career into Web development\design. I am familiar with html and css (older versions), but am clearly very out of touch. Without taxing people to much, and asking a familiar questions, what would be the advice for somebody like me? I'm tech savvy having been in IT for many years, but am a little lost regards the types of roles that I see now, there appears to be a lot of crossover between design and development? I'm using my own website as my learning tool, html and css, and really want to get to grips with those languages before considering JS, but wondered if there were any clear career paths I could pencil in, just as a guide..
  2. I to am in a similar state of 'career changing' so am a kindred spirit, of sorts. Hope I can help at some point, although as a total beginner, that may be a while away. Good luck on your adventure Wheezie!
  3. Hello, Today, I have been 'IT support free' for four weeks.... Having been in IT support for twenty years, lattery management, I decided it was time to revisit my interest in web design for a change of career (even at this late stage). I was 'relatively' useful when Flash\actionscript was popular, but now need to get my skills up to modern methods.. I hope to learn much over the coming months and years, and hope to contribute to these forums in the future, when I might know what I'm talking about.. My project, which I'm using to re-learn html\css\js is my own website, which will showcase (far to high-brow..) my music and art. look forward to speaking to you!
