Old Designer / New rules ... HELP!
Hi, Hope you have already solved your problem, but just in case, I found this in my resource materials. Responsive sites are mentioned in time stamps 2:30 and 37:25, the easiest and simplest way to do that I know of so far. Hope it helps. https://pages.bytesfx.com/gpdemo

Timestamp Latest Update to Link?
Is it not possible to just create a folder and every time they upload a new version of the file, it triggers the creation of a new file (duplicate of the just uploaded file) with the date and time stamp which is to be stored in the folder created. For example: original filename: news.mp3 Once they upload a new version on 20 June 2020 @ 4:28am a copy of the new file is created with the following filename: news20June20200428.mp3 And for proper housekeeping maybe a folder named "archives" will hold all the files having time stamp with them. say: ./archives/news20June20200428.mp3 Just my thought

Timestamp Latest Update to Link?
Let's see if we can solve this. How about just creating a copy of the news.mp3 file naming the copy to news+TS.mp3 (TS-time stamp). Maybe you can write a code to do this and just issue a CRON job to execute it every first minute of the day. You might also consider creating an archive folder to where these duplicate files will be stored.

I want to understand how are you approaching it. Are you using a plugin or just using the native wordpress features?

Timestamp Latest Update to Link?
This is quiet interesting, can you not make it in such a way that the filename already reflect the date and time before you even upload it?

Please review our new social photography website https://100asa.com
This will be a serious matter specially here in EU, a quick fix that we normally employ is to show a cookie policy when a visitor gets to our site. Sometimes we even get strict that they have to acknowledge the policy before they can get into our pages.

How to increase the page speed?
You might also consider using cloudflare, it will not just improve the performance of your website it will also improve your security.

Old Designer / New rules ... HELP!
Hi, Creating responsive websites are not that complicated anymore if you have the right tool. As a matter of fact you can come up with a mobile version of your website the same time you publish your desktop version. Wish I can show you some of my websites and maybe ask for your comment in return but I think we are not allowed to put links here.

Newcomer from Central London
Hello guys, Glad to have found this forum. I recently started my online venture just before covid-19 strike and put us into lockdown. Anyway, lockdown is not totally a bad thing for me, because it has given me more time to stay home and have more time to go online and learn more. I have been testing some stuff, learning about affiliate marketing, building websites and running media ads. So far I got few clients which I can not say is already enough but is a help to cover our dailies.. One thing that lack in my operation is for a group that can critique my works before spending traffic on it. Can't be too careful on spending specially during these times, I am trying organic traffic but it is just too slow. Typical challenges of a startup business without ready budget to dispose of. Hopefully I can learn more by joining the forum and maybe when the right time come also share something that can help other members as well.

Hello there! Damsel in distress!!
This is so true, you have to decide what you really want to achieve. Is it making a profit or building website using those different languages out there. From my side, if you build something from scratch, meaning use coding to develop a website then I can say by now, you have to rethink your approach. There are countless platforms out there that will allow you to create any type of website in a jiffy. But if your passion is coding then maybe a better business for you to go is developing plugins for Wordpress, or maybe for Shopify,. Those are just example. as they already have a good number of users. If you have some target clients and want to push it to the next level maybe we can collaborate and do a project together, just an idea though. I already have some resources and a few clients here in Central London. Being in lockdown for quiet a while really will push you to do things that you don't normally thought you will be doing before. Anyway good luck and be safe always.
