Hi on my live Server im running Ubuntu 18.04 together with plesk obsidian. So far for years i was running very fine directly working on the live server, developing, instantly uploading and testing the written code. If there were some new bigger features (online site) i locked visibility of this part to my ip only or worked on a test html/php site. Most likely when i start a new project im using a different test domain. At beginning i was using xampp but because of different settings on the live servers my code wasnt working as i liked. I got errors on my xampp environment while on the live server everything was running fine and vica versa. Paypal/braintree developing, composer wasnt working offline ... I saved a lot of time working directly on the live server. But now we dont have a static ip anymore and developing gets annoying (each 4 hours ip change) im interested trying offline developing again. So how you are developing ? Is there any way to clone the full live server into a offline environment ?
