I'm new here and apologise in advance for resurrecting this old thread but I would like to add my warning about Global Gold. My day job is as a web designer/developer, but as a favour to someone else I've been using them for forum hosting - their old speciality pre "iomart takeover". At the beginning they were excellent; responsive, knowledgeable and sometimes pro-active in fixing problems. But that is in the past. Long, long in the past. After 18 months of dire support, carried out by staff who seemed to have only the loosest grasp of both the technology and the English language, I finally broke through the inertia after 2 weeks of denials about a database problem they had on their server. I have now moved elsewhere and my forum is instantly more responsive, providing consistent performance. To add insult to injury they want to hold onto my quarterly hosting payment - paid in advance. The sum of money is unimportant to me (might not be to others), but their mentality and unprofessionalism means I wouldn't host anything with GlobalGold or iomart
