  1. At the moment we've put the website on hold. Because we figured out we have a hard time expressing our brand identity, and what this is exactly. So after we did a brainstorm about that we'll come up with a new design.
  2. I started with the background image in the header. The problem with an image is it, is repeats itself to the left and right which looks really weird.

  4. I highly recommend making everything smaller. The font size in your menu, buttons, the images at your work section. This blog post probably will really help you: http://deesignre.com/use-whitespace/ You might prefer feedback directly here but sometimes it's a little too much to write all the feedback in a comment But the blog post will teach you to use more white space. If we take the dark blue section for example. Your circle shaped image almost hits the top. Create some more white space there and the result will increase. Using the same ammount of white space on the bottom of that section is a requirement then. The same goes for the other sections, use more white space. Let me know if this feedback was any usefull, and the blog post I wrote a while back. Good luck.
  5. Uhm... there is a lot to give you feedback on. You are in the right place by the way. I can't give you feedback on everything so far, but I'm sure after a few reply's here you will have a better looking result. I recommend reading those posts: http://deesignre.com/use-whitespace/ http://deesignre.com/how-to-choose-colors/ http://deesignre.com/combining-typefaces/ Those are some basics of webdesign which would be very helpful for you. I'm not advertising for my blog I just think they might help you. These blog posts explain how to use whitespace, how to choose colors and how to combine typefaces. Im telling you this because You have too many different colors. You have a very blue color at the right side. You're type is serif, which is not the best typeface to choose for a game website, since it's not related to the subject in any way. I would go for a more modern typeface since gaming is "modern" and "technology". Anyway, I would start of thnking about the latter I said, and read the three blog posts I wrote. Those should help you in several aspect of your design. At least I hope it will, maybe you can post a Version 2.0 and I can give feedback again if you want. Also keep in mind: if people come to this website. Do they know where to achieve the goal they want to achieve? Do they know how to get to reviews? Will they know what every word means? Do they know what the items in your menu mean and what the lead to? What is the most important part of your website? What makes sure the viewer will see that important part first instead of the less important parts?
  6. Hello, I am doing research to how to combine images on your website. Like putting three image next to eachother. The problem often is they don't look good together. I know the basics of combining images, like the color scheme should match, the cropping size, lightning should a little the same. And using the same camera shot/angle might help. But I can't find any more advanced or better information about combining images. Can anyone help me out here how I can best deal with this problem or does anyone know some articles about combining images? I attached an example of what I mean. Hope anyone can help me, thanks in advance, Mark
  7. You're not suppose to post welcome posts here but instead create your own welcome topic
  8. Thats great feedback. Thanks a lot. I'll let you know when I have version 2.0 ready.
  9. Hello, I made a website recently, for a small freelance business for design. the website is www.toroslocos.nl, it's not finished yet but the homepage is pretty much done. However I am not really happy about the design. I know it's alright but could look way better somehow, I just dont know what I should do/add/change/remove to make the website look better. Any feedback? Thanks
