Invest in the laptop! I definitly love using it to quickly make some changes and writing etc! As Wellerweb said it's not that there is a huge difference between the versions, you can still use the old ones and make awesome stuff for web designing you generally don't need all the extra photo editing options etc!

Social media is a really good way to improve traffic (e.g. google plus, facebook ,twitter etc..) You can place empty banners with text like: "your ad here?" on your website and promote the advertising space on your social medias Good luck!

In my opinion a macbook is a solid piece of equipment. It never fails on me and it's been around for quite some time. My previous windows laptops just didn't feel the same way It's pricey but it's definitely worth it! I absolutely love it for photoshopping and coding (it's a 17"inch macbook pro)
