  1. I was considering having a bash at using Joomla or Mambo on a new website but after reading this thread I shall probably go back to using wordpress. Stripped back to basics, using the page elements only and binning the posts, comments turned off as the only thing that comes from wordpress comments is spam. The good thing with Wordpress is you can test it out first on their wordpress dot com free blog platform before jumping in at the deep end.
  2. I am about to start another website, my question is, what content management system would you use for a simple new website selling only 10 niche interior design and garden design products? I have been looking at Joomla and Drupal and mambo. Any comments would be greatfully received. I may end up using Wordpress in the end, strip back the posts and just use the pages.
  3. I have just joined today, I am here to learn and connect, to keep up with the ever changing web. My main interests are not in design, they are in making. I make 3d letters out of various materials for visual advertising, I have a number of very simple websites that need a clean up. I manage all my own websites, about 30 sites in total. many of them using wordpress. A number of the sites are in a poor condition and i am here to update my knowledge base so that i can maximise the websites i have and energise the new websites that are on their way in the next 3 months. My first focus will be to search for the best content management system for simple templates.
